Purely because of one incident months ago that was kept real low key. Went something like this. In canada, shell put some additive in their fuels. As soon as they did that, tons of cars under warranty were going back to the dealers for fuel system repairs. Chrysler was concerned cause it was costing them a fortune. (who knows how many others had to 'pay' to get it repaired) Turns out the common denominator between them all was that they filled up their tanks at shell. It was coating some fuel sensor with a thick 'soot?' (coated something anyways)The sensor had to be scraped clean by hand with a razor blade. So, chrysler told shell to reimburse or they were gonna sue. Shell quietly removed the additive from their fuels. They put an add in the papers telling customers to call if they had that problem, only the ad was tiny and in weird sections. I never went to shell before, but definitely won't after that.
